Mercian is a founder member of the Bromford Development Consortium. The consortium has the largest number of properties of any partnership in the country under its development. The partnership is lead by Bromford Housing Group and includes eleven other housing associations:
The partnership has been in existence since the October 2005 bidding round for developments drawing 2006/08. The partnership operated through a range of sub-groups including the quality insurance sub-group, the development procurement sub-group, BME sub-group and asset management sub-group.
The consortium is a partner in the West Midlands joint procurement initiative to secure homes through offsite manufacturing processes and this year we expect to contract between 30 and 50 units under the joint procurement initiative.
