For Residents

Our main role as a social landlord is to ensure that our tenants live in a quality and safe environment and that the services we provide meet their needs and expectations

Resident Involvement

Shareholding Membership

Shareholders have an important say in the association. They elect Resident Board Members and are entitled to vote on business decisions at the Annual General Meeting.

Mercian wants to recruit as many shareholders as possible so that residents play a full and active part in the democratic running of the association… and it only costs £1.

A Resident can apply to become a shareholding member if:

  • They possess a Mercian secure or assured tenancy
  • They possess a Mercian shared ownership lease
  • They possess a Mercian Leasehold Scheme for the Elderly lease

To find out more about becoming a shareholder please contact your Neighbourhood Officer.
