Resident Meetings and Site Surgeries
Residents meetings are often informal get-togethers of residents from a scheme or area to discuss general housing-related topics or specific problems such as repairs.
Site surgeries involve a Mercian staff member visiting a site to inspect the area and discuss issues with residents.
The purpose of these Resident meetings and site surgeries are to:
- Give residents an opportunity to raise scheme / individual issues
- Enable any ideas from residents to be passed on to staff or other agencies
- Evaluate support from residents for Mercian issues and initiatives
- Allow Mercian to share issues affecting residents and their properties
- Give Housing and Maintenance Officers an opportunity to see issues first-hand
- Allow outside agencies, such as gardeners or the police, to talk to residents
- Enable Housing Officers to conduct regular, planned site visits
