Changes to your Housing Service

Changes to your Housing Service

Mercian Housing Association is currently changing the way we deliver our housing services and we need to inform you how these changes will affect you.

We are aiming to make our housing services more effective and responsive to the needs of our residents and from 2 January 2008 we will be setting up a number of new teams to provide you with these services. These new teams are:

Neighbourhood Team – this team will deal with all tenancy enquiries, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. This team will spend more time out of the office visiting residents in their homes. From 2 January 2008 you will have a new Neighbourhood Officer, who will replace your current Housing Officer. We will be writing to all residents to let them know who their new Neighbourhood Officer is.

Income Team – this team will deal with all enquiries regarding rent payments, rent arrears and money advice. If you experiencing any difficulty in paying your rent, please contact us as soon as possible as we are here to help you.

Leasehold Team – this team will provide support and advice to leaseholders and deal with any enquiries regarding leases and leasehold charges.

Customer Services Team – this team is your first point of contact for all housing enquiries you may have, including repairs. You can report repairs to us on 0121 322 7373 or contact us about any other housing enquiry.

Property Services Team – this team will manage all of our repair works and our larger improvement programmes such as replacement kitchen, bathrooms and heating.

You can contact all of our teams by telephone on 0121 322 7373 or by e-mail.
