On the property ladder
2006-07 has seen Mercian lead the way in home ownership in the west Midlands, helping 65 families to buy their first home through the Open Market HomeBuy scheme, 131 through the First Time Buyers Initiative and 87 through the New Build HomeBuy scheme.
In the first 12 months alone, as HomeBuy Agent, Mercian responded to 6,589 enquiries from first time buyers and approved 1,014 applications qualifying for HomeBuy products, meeting all Housing Corporation targets.
