Developing Schemes for Local Authorities/Strategic Partners
AHL and Mercian can offer a comprehensive range of services from helping to develop strategy, policy and delivery services, including legal agreements, to providing a range of loans suitable for assisting in a variety of regeneration schemes and managing revolving loan funds for long term investment.
AHL is a not for profit organisation but does need to cover its operating costs through fee income. It works in the social sector and therefore aims to keep its fee costs to an absolute minimum. Because of the high level of demand and interest from local authorities, our response needs to be managed to make the most efficient use of time and resource.
We have therefore produced the following checklist for local authorities to consider before they enter into detailed discussion with AHL. They relate to some of the Audit Commission Key Lines of Enquiry and initial consideration will enable a partnership with AHL to be considered in a strategic context and enable AHL to better develop or tailor services to meet your needs. This should also significantly reduce the time and resource needed to establish a partnership agreement.
